Also, as long as there IS a middle or upper-class (not to be confused with the seriously rich), the 'big boys' will be manipulating the market (until they can buy everything for cheap). So, people will keep putting their wealth in and 'those who manipulate the currencies and commodities/stocks' will keep taking it off of them. If that doesn't work, they'll use their media to manipulate people to play the market.
