The gamelans of Istana Magkunegaran, Solo, Central Java is famous for its beautiful and splendid sound and its audience Pavilion which is the largest and one of the most majestic performance halls in Central Java providing an ideal acoustic space for the performing of the gamelan. The sound in this set is magnificent and resounds like a bronze rain pouring in the big pendapa (pavilion). Mainly the soran "strong"style is played in this set. The set is more than 26 minutes long so we divide it in three parts. In part 3 the set is going to the climax as the smooth gamelan stream turns in a powerful sound.
