My favorite Led Zeppelin live recording was also my first - Berkeley Community Theatre, 1971 (which I got in 1974*). It's such a pity - everything I've heard since was a disappointment (though I saw/loved Plant & Page live in the 90s). It's taken a long, long lonely time to find a complete digital copy of the '71 concert, but... well, THE BAND IS ON FIRE! Listening to this performance of 'Dazed and Confused' for first time left me just that. This is dark, primeval music - that just defied capturing on the albums of the time. The video footage comes from different concerts over the band's career, but "the song remains the same" (eh?). Here's hoping for another Australian tour (they're rare events) some time in the near future. (*"Going To California" - Trade Mark of Quality/Flying Pig(?) Oct 10, 2008 - All I see on your page are videos of tired rock cliches - compare mine. I'm not dissing your taste in music - it's just like mine... when I was 15 years old.

Oct 10, 2008 - ***AUTHOR'S NOTE: Given the REASON for this upload, I am NOT open to "balanced criticism" of its content. Then again, I've had 34 years to compare it to other LZ performances***

Oct 10, 2008 - There's some visual mismatch at the opening, 'cos I changed the audio start/end points later.

Oct 11, 2008 - Uhm... I don't care of even putting all the music I know and heard on my page... What's the point... I like all music (except for some)... I see you listen to Focus, good for you! (And yes I do know what the band is).... Trust me! You don't know me, when someone says that they know more music than me, I say all the music I know and they're just shock! about 1/3 bands they never heard of... Some people say that I just create names, lol... Hey, have you heard of Babe Ruth, listen to The Mexican...

Oct 11, 2008 - Sorry, that I insulted your video, (well video quality), and why did I received a message from you saying that I gave you 1 star... I didn't! I gave you 5 stars, because it's Led Zeppelin... It must nave been another person who saw, then rated your video... I not trying to be an asshole of what I said earlier, "Your video quality of the video sucked..." AND IT'S TRUE! Lol... Sorry, I do speak English, lol. It's just when I type fast there's some big errors, while here I'm taking my time...
LinkBulletBill diyorki:
Oct 11, 2008 - And why are you trying to insult me? You don't know me and how music changed my life or how good I am in music, and what feelings I get from music or listening to it or writing down the feeling I feel... (Long sentence)... I want to create something new, something from me, not by trying to listen to older music and turning it into a song from me, which most bands are doing today... Create something new, something good... Since I love rock, it's probably mixed with a lot of rock... I love music!

Oct 11, 2008 - Why do you reply me, then deleted the comments you send me? Lol... I'm not trying to be a jerk here...

Oct 11, 2008 - Hi... PEACE! No offense intended. I edit my video pages to correct MY comments (mainly "late night" comments that are wrong or offensive). And because this is a space for EVERYONE to share (not just 2 people). So PLEASE... no "essays" (novels?) in the comments. I know you didn't give the one-star review (and I wish YouTube could let us delete them, when nasty people do it).

Oct 12, 2008 - To explain the "15 years old" thing: I WAS a rock (Zeppelin, Purple, Sabbath) freak - after The Beatles. Then in the middle of "I want the heaviest thing EVER"... I blissed out (no details) and found Yes. Then punk came along - and a lot of great Aussie bands - like Angels, Cold Chisel. Then I got "tired" of rock & left it for classical (Stravinsky mainly) and fusion (Miles, McLaughlin & DiMeola). Which is where most "sophisticated heads" are at, musically. Except, I found THAT shallow now.

Oct 12, 2008 - AND THEN, ...if you are a "true" musician (to yourself), which I suspect you are... You look at the million opportunities to present your hard work on YouTube, but find ignorance and stupidity block the way. How far wrong am I?

Oct 12, 2008 - Merde! I forget... Anyone want to see me put my Led Zeppelin playing where my mouth is, check "The Rain Song" at the end of "AvS live at the Brass Monkey, 2001 (solo-guitar)" - here on YouTube. Look for the "big blue mouth"!

Oct 28, 2008 - I came to this video expecting a great "Dazed And Confused" performance, yet the only thing on my mind is that the Poster likes to comment on his own video more than anyone else, citing 34 years of listening to Led Zeppelin is fair enough, but after listening to Classical and Fusion you found them "shallow"? - Confused much?

Oct 28, 2008 - Hi - you're quite welcome to your opinion, so I won't take issue. Unfortunately, the comments here got off to a bad start, so there was was some editing along the way. Other than that - maybe decide whether you're here to listen or read, and don't confuse the two.
