A question was posed regarding post-workout meals and how much protein their-in. It's a very common myth that you need to ingest a large slug of protein immediately after a meal, as if that protein goes straight to the freshly damaged muscles, yet, this is not at all how the body works. What is most important are the glycogen stores which need replenishment, otherwise, catabolism / gluconeogenisis become a post-post-workout at the cellular level. http://www.chekinstitute.com http://www.ppssuccess.com http://www.paulchek.com water emoto cure treatment drugs sleep symptoms reaction diet protein fat attitude self help personal power will spirituality mercola scooby1961 psychetruth natalie

Aug 30, 2008 - Great video Paul! Always wanted to know your opinion about post workout nutrition. I currently take 1 banana mixed with blueberries and strawberries postworkout with some Rice Protein. Wanted to know your thoughts on Rice Protein cause I ditched the whey protein 1 year ago.

Aug 30, 2008 - I pretty much agree in elevating the carbs slightly higher than your MT post workout. But how much fat would you recommend post workout? I make my brother (protein type) take flax post workout but I'm afraid the extra fat and fiber is slowing down the release of nutrients into his body. Should one not worry too much about eating super low glycemic food post workout or should we limit high fiber foods? I personally eat two apples post workout with some protein (mixed typed). Too much fiber?

Sep 1, 2008 - Awesome vid! Very helpful indeed. I recall learning about this in the HLC level 1 course where after a workout you should eat more carbs. Since then I've always made it a point to drink coconut water after training with my meal, but now I see I should drink it sooner. Thanks again for the vid!

Sep 1, 2008 - i heard previously what you said about eating carbs but i thought that after eating carbs you should wait like 30 or 40 min to eat protein meal and ...especially a liquid protein source would be good beacuse its more absorvable and your body would assimilated more quickly and efficently than a solid protein meal...if fat its the problem why not take a bit of coconut oil. ahhhh BTW protein powder sucks with the excepcion of jay robb´s or mercola´s protein cuz ,of the sugar and the chemicals.
