I want to start with talking about the 2 meanings of God. ..If Im speaking in a room full of people, and I ask What is God? every person in the room will have a different idea or picture in his mind of what is god. Therefore there are some 7 billion meanings to the word god. There is a very important distinction between two ways of thinking about god and also two ways of perceiving god, that are essential to every person who wonders about the meaning of this. A lot of People refer to god as A higher Power, an omnipotent omniscient GOD that is not to be questioned, that one I call God the being, whether he intervenes in the creation or not or whether he exists or not these are the subjects of Atheism and Deism which we will leave aside for today. The other approach is that god is everywhere and everywhen, he is not constrained to the limits of time and space, he is all that we are, and all that we are not, this one I call God the Kosmos, Kosmos being the term used to describe everything which is the definition of the original word in Latin, the whole universe not only the psychical aspects but also the spirit that is beneath and beyond everything, the consciousness which is experiencing everything. People like to mix these two together this gets a lot of them confused. In the Bible, there are a lot of descriptions where God talked to someone, when he told Moses; go do this and go do that, when he deliberately destroyed by himself the cities of Sdom and Emora, when revealed himself to people in various ways and so on, this is God the Being..
