Dullahan is the first REAL boss of the game. He's also the first Evil-type enemy you encounter. This means, unfortunately, you won't be able to build up Evil power in your weapon beforehand. In fact, all your weapons are going to have NEGATIVE Evil power. STAB THE ABS! Yes, the abdomen is his weakest point and is especially vulnerable to piercing weapons. However, it is also the most difficult part of him to hit. All the other living armor enemies in the game share the same abdomen weakness. As soon as the battle begins, I make a beeline towards the chest in the corner which contains a Rusty Nail (polearm), a Braveheart gem, and 3 Cure Bulbs. Braveheart is an EXTREMELY HELPFUL gem since it boosts accuracy by 20% when attached to a weapon. However, none of your weapons has a grip that you can attach a gem to... except the Rusty Nail you just conveniently obtained. The Rusty Nail also just happens to be a piercing weapon. Hmmm... I wonder what the game designers want you to do? XD The Seventh Heaven bow and Rapier are also sources for piercing damage, but you can't attach the Braveheart gem to them, so they're gonna have crappy hit% when targeting Dullahan's gut. Chain the abdomen with Heavy Shot and Temper. The Degenerate spell is also a big help since it will increase the damage you'll do and reduce the damage you'll take. However, Degenerate isn't an absolute necessity, so I chose not to use it. Use the Reflect Damage defense ability against Dullahan's sword whacks. His annoying Drain Heart spell saps some of your HP, but you really can't do anything about it without the Reflect Magic, Absorb Magic or Demonscale defense abilities. BLARGH!!! How dare that bastard critical me! Luckily, I was able to reflect the critical for an impressive 43 damage. Oh wow... he actually killed my right arm (which explains the Attack 50%). I mean, enemies pretty much attack body parts randomly and are not smart enough to keep striking the same area repeatedly. So that was some bad luck. I think I only had a body part die on me like 2-3 times before. XD Weapon: Rusty Nail (Bronze Spear with Spiculum Pole) STR: 14 Evil: -2 Affn: Physical 11 Type: Piercing: 4 Gem: Braveheart

Oct 1, 2008 - Yea, well some games require warrant longer explanations due to the strategic nature of the gameplay. It's not overkill because it all seems to be very helpful info. It's at clear and easy to see why you did what you did in the vid and for what purpose.
