Aug 2, 2008 - There was a Kashmiri singer named Nazeer Begum during 1940s who recorded many pashto songs. Javed Akhtar is another well known Kashmiri who recorded pashto songs. I read about Nazeer Begum and many other Urdu speaking artists [e.g., Mujeeb Alam, Noor Jehan, Runa Laila, Rehana Yasmin, Naseema Shaheen] who have contributed to Pashto music.

Aug 2, 2008 - dont understand a word of pashto but since the age of 7 i have been in love with all things pashto especially the music...i'm in uk now but of pakistani origin, azad kashmir dadyal actually, ...keep it up anwargul!
